We Can and Must Make a Difference!

ALCAP is a church sponsored ministry that serves as “Alabama’s moral compass.” ALCAP’s legislative program addresses such issues as pro-life, alcohol, tobacco, illicit drugs, pornography, sexual crimes, gambling, etc. ALCAP also conducts a weekly Legislative Prayer Breakfast during the regular state legislative session each year. This ministry is a sounding board for local communities and churches concerning moral issues. Individuals and churches often contact us with questions like: “What can we do to curb alcohol sales or gambling in our community?” or “How can you prevent a liquor license from being granted to a business near a school or church?”

American Character Builders (ACB) is an educational program that seeks to educate and inspire young people and adults to make positive, healthy life choices as well as teaching abstinence concerning alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. American Character Builders programs are presented each year in the schools of Alabama reaching thousands of young people.

ALCAP and American Character Builders are funded entirely by denominational groups, churches, concerned individuals, businesses and those who believe in being the “Salt and Light” in Alabama. Due to the nature of ALCAP’s and American Character Builders’ ministry, contributions will NOT knowingly be accepted from entities involved in the manufacture or distribution of alcoholic beverages, or from entities involved in gambling activities.
